    Performance enhancing options:

Welcome to my website!

This is my portfolio, it's a feature complete solar system housing my projects and my blogs. Navigable by either clicking on the major planetary bodies or by using the navbar on the right, you can explore my past exploits in an interactive and unique fashion.

Since each planet is associated with a page, clicking on a button on the navbar will influence the camera and refocus it. if you want to prevent this behaviour, I have a camera lock feature as well. Pages will also pop up when a nav item is selected, these pages can be resized, minimized, in order to customize the user's viewing experience. If the user wishes to view multiple pages at once, they simply need to stack them appropriately.

I should also mention that, while this website is feature complete, I will still add more of my future and past projects onto the portfolio and continue to update my blog. I will also likely add little easter eggs littered about the simulation later on, later on I will include a changelog on my portfolio page for this website that will briefly go over any new additions added in updates. I could also end up, down the line, improving the pipeline for content additions, but that will likely go largely unnoticed for the user. Bug fixes no doubt will also occur as well as more polish for the already existing elements. For example, I doubt the star at the center of this solar system really needs to take up as much CPU as it does to simply update its color, but we'll get there when we get there.

Finally, if you do find that this website is too resource intensive, try one of the performance enhancing options above. Or if you're desperate to look at the content rather than that silly background, you can also refresh the page and cancel the simulation outright. Turning the ThreeJS component off entirely. At one point I will add a button for that elsewhere, but for now, it will live in the loading screen.

I hope you enjoy your perusal of my site, and hopefully you come out of it with a better impression of who I am!

About Me

I hear you've been looking for a

My name is Chris Artzoglou, I'm a UBC graduate specializing in computer science and philosophy. A strange combo perhaps, but also one that gives me a unique perspective in the tech industry. I tend to work from a user perspective and attempt to look at projects holistically when possible. As such, I tend to be most beneficial in position with UI/UX input and leadership roles where I can coordinate with interdisciplinary heads, while simultaneously giving feedback on design decisions.

Currently I'm unemployed and looking for work, if you happen to be one of the lucky few to have come here because of my resume, congratualations! You're one step closer to hiring a pretty excellent programmer. This is because I excellent at problem solving, adapting to new scenarios, and writing and reporting clearly and concisely. If you need more reasons, there's a quite a few more present on my resume. You could also reach out and get to know me! I believe I have a rather unique set of skills that you'll be sure to appreciate after a brief chat.
